Frequently asked questions
What people ask us most often about pricing, warranty, delivery and repairs. If your question is not here, just write to us.
Devices and pricing
- How do you set your prices?
- Pricing follows the market and the condition of the individual machine. Quality comes first, so our prices are not the lowest you will find. What you get instead is that every unit is tested, and the results are published on its product page.
- Where do your devices come from?
- From established Hungarian and international partners, and from private sellers through our buyback. Every device goes through our own testing regardless of where it came from.
- What do the condition grades mean?
- Grade A means barely visible signs of use, grade B visible wear, grade C heavier marks. The grade describes the outside only: the technical condition is separate, and is listed per device with battery capacity and charge cycles.
Warranty
- How long is the warranty?
- 12 months on every device we sell, counted from the purchase, with an invoice. This is our own shop warranty, and it is valid in Hungary.
- What does the warranty cover?
- Faults that were not caused by use: hardware failures that appear on their own. It does not cover physical damage, or damage from water or any other liquid. A warranty claim is handled by the same workshop that prepared the device.
- Is there a warranty on repairs too?
- Yes. The parts we fit carry their own warranty, and the work is guaranteed as well. You get an invoice for the repair, which is what the warranty is based on.
Delivery and pickup
- How do I receive the device?
- By courier anywhere in Hungary, to a Packeta pickup point, or in person at the shop. The delivery fee is shown at checkout before you order.
- Can I collect an online order in the shop?
- Yes, and we recommend it: that way you can try the device before paying. Choose in-store pickup at checkout, and we hold it for you.
- Do you ship abroad?
- Not at the moment. If you are in Budapest, you are welcome to collect it in person at 1012 Budapest, Attila út 75., on weekdays between 10am and 5pm.
- How do you pack the devices?
- In protective packaging suited to the machine. Where the original box survived, the device travels in that.
Repairs
- How long does a repair take?
- We keep parts in stock for the common faults (screen, battery, keyboard), and those are usually done within two days. If a part has to be ordered, we tell you the timeline when we assess the device.
- My device got wet. What should I do?
- Do not turn it on and do not try to charge it, because that is what usually causes the permanent damage. Bring it in as soon as you can: an ultrasonic cleaning within a day or two often saves the machine.
- Do you tell me the price before repairing?
- Always. We assess the device first and only then give a final amount. We do not touch the machine until you approve it, and if you decide against the repair, the assessment costs nothing.
Payment and other questions
- What payment methods do you accept?
- Bank transfer in advance, or payment on collection in the shop, by cash or card. The available options are shown at checkout.
- Can you hold a device for me?
- Yes. Write or call us, and we set it aside. Every machine is a single unit, so this is worth doing if you are travelling in for a specific one.
- Do you buy my old device?
- Yes, one device or a whole company fleet. Testing takes a few minutes in the shop, and you can also send it by courier. We give the price after testing, never as an estimate beforehand, because that would be misleading. Details on the buyback page.
- Do you speak English in the shop?
- Yes. You can write to us in English as well, and we answer in English. The submission forms are in Hungarian for now, so if one gets in the way, just send us a message instead.
Still unanswered?
Write to us and we will answer in English, or come in during opening hours.
