iPhone 14 Plus Your photo, your font, your widgets. Your iPhone. With iOS 16, you have more ways than ever to personalize your Lock Screen. Add a photo, layer it with depth effects, track your activity rings, and stay updated with notifications from your favorite apps. App tracking is fully transparent—you decide which apps can track your activity. And that’s just one example of how iPhone helps you stay in full control of what you share and with whom. The iPhone 14 can detect if you’ve been in a severe car crash and automatically call emergency services (112), while also notifying your emergency contacts. Here’s how iPhone can detect, hear, and measure a crash: Sudden speed changes A new high-g force accelerometer can detect extreme acceleration and deceleration up to 256 g. Unexpected changes in direction A high dynamic range gyroscope continuously monitors sudden shifts in the car’s motion. Laboratory crash tests Advanced motion algorithms were developed using data from frontal, rear, side-impact, and rollover crash tests. Cabin pressure changes The barometer can detect pressure changes caused by airbag deployment. Loud impact sounds While driving, the microphone identifies extremely loud noises typical of a crash. To protect your privacy, audio processing is done directly on your iPhone. Real-world crash data Crash Detection has been refined using real-world accident data to ensure maximum accuracy. With OLED technology, contrast is incredible—whites are bright, and blacks are truly black. Thanks to high resolution and color accuracy, everything appears sharp and vibrant. True Tone adjusts the display to the ambient lighting, making it easier on your eyes. Even Better Photos. With the new main camera and improved image processing, you can capture even more stunning photos in any lighting conditions—especially in low light. The new main camera features a larger sensor and an aperture that lets in 49% more light. When you tap the shutter, the new Photonic Engine enhances everything the camera can do. It combines the best pixels from multiple exposures into a single image—earlier in the process than ever before. This preserves more data, allowing for richer colors and incredibly detailed textures, even in very low light. Switch to the ultra-wide camera to capture unique perspectives and fit much more into your frame. And in very low light, Night mode activates automatically—so your photos come out brighter and sharper. Smart HDR 4 can recognize up to four different people in a shot and individually adjusts contrast, lighting, and even skin tones for each one. Portrait mode puts your subject in focus by artistically blurring the background—and now even the foreground. Always steady. Whether you’re hiking on a rocky trail or chasing your kids in the park, Action mode smooths out handheld video for stable, shake-free footage. Create Hollywood-worthy videos. Cinematic mode automatically shifts focus to the most important subject in each scene—just like professional filmmakers do. And now you can record in 4K at 24 frames per second, the standard used in movies. Stunning selfies. With the new TrueDepth front camera featuring a larger aperture and autofocus, you can capture sharper, more vibrant group shots and selfies than ever before. Lightning Fast. Long-Lasting. The iPhone 14 features the same ultra-fast chip as the iPhone 13 Pro. The A15 Bionic chip with a 5-core GPU powers the latest features and handles graphically demanding games and AR apps with ease. Thanks to a redesigned internal layout, thermal performance is more efficient—so you can play longer without interruptions.
